Of Common Clay
This series of portraits is being made in the textile towns of South Carolina and printed with pigment ground from bricks that came from the cotton mills of those same towns. The process is known as 'single transfer carbon printing'. Each print is unique. The color of the prints is completely determined by the color of the bricks I found on site.
